Decaprenyl-phosphoribose 2'-epimerase is an essential enzyme complex in mycobacteria, particularly *Mycobacterium tuberculosis*. It catalyzes the epimerization of decaprenylphosphoryl-β-D-ribose (DPR) to decaprenylphosphoryl-β-D-arabinofuranose (DPA), a critical step in the biosynthesis of cell wall components such as arabinogalactan and lipoarabinomannan (LAM). The enzyme complex consists of two subunits: DprE1 and DprE2. Inhibition of this enzyme disrupts cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death.
