Target intelligence / Profile preview
Dengue virus antigens refer to the viral proteins produced by all four serotypes of dengue virus (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4). The main antigenic targets used for detection and diagnosis include: Nonstructural Protein 1 (NS1) and Envelope Protein (E). Detection of dengue antigens—especially NS1—is widely used in diagnostic assays to confirm acute infection before antibody responses develop fully. Secondary infections with a different serotype increase the risk for severe disease due to antibody-dependent enhancement.
