DNA synthesis is the process by which new DNA strands are formed. The target "DNA synthesis (incorporation as fraudulent nucleotide)" refers to the deliberate or accidental incorporation of non-canonical, synthetic, or analog nucleotides into newly synthesized DNA in place of natural bases.
