The pseudogene does not produce functional protein and is not implicated as a therapeutic target. The canonical DNAH11 gene (not this pseudogene), when mutated, is associated with primary ciliary dyskinesia and situs inversus, but these roles do not apply to the pseudogene itself[1][2][5].
