Dynein, axonemal, heavy chain 11 pseudogene (ENSG00000253845) is a non-functional genomic element related to the DNAH11 gene, which encodes an essential ATPase motor protein required for the movement of motile cilia in various tissues[1][4]. The pseudogene does not produce functional protein and is not implicated as a therapeutic target. The canonical DNAH11 gene (not this pseudogene), when mutated, is associated with primary ciliary dyskinesia and situs inversus, but these roles do not apply to the pseudogene itself[1][2][5].
