Cluster of Differentiation 73 (CD73), also known as ecto-5'-nucleotidase, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface enzyme encoded by the NT5E gene. It catalyzes the dephosphorylation of extracellular adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine, playing a critical role in purinergic signaling pathways that regulate inflammation, immune regulation, and disease pathogenesis. It is a therapeutic target in cancer and other diseases.
Inhibition of CD73 enzymatic activity, blocking adenosine production and downstream immunosuppressive effects. Disrupting tumor metabolic fitness by impairing mitochondrial respiration/aspartate biosynthesis pathways.
