It is one of several loci related to the Elongin family, transcription elongation factors that modulate RNA polymerase II activity. No evidence supports ELOA3CP acting as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or drug-interaction locus. The search results confirm ambiguity arises because of the similarity to the functional genes ELOA3/ELOA3P; however, ELOA3CP is not a functional version, and its inclusion as a target is incorrect.
