Endogenous killer T-cell activation via NAP (iTANK)

Molecular classification
Cell therapy, Immunotherapy, Gene therapy
01

Overview

The iTANK platform is a gene technology designed to enhance CAR T-cell therapy efficacy, particularly against solid tumors. It arms CAR T-cells with a transgene encoding a neutrophil-activating bacterial protein (NAP). Secreted NAP recruits and activates dendritic cells, leading to the activation of endogenous cytotoxic CD8+ killer T-cells and a broader anti-tumor immune response via epitope spreading.

Mechanism of action

CAR(NAP) T-cells secrete NAP, recruiting and activating dendritic cells which present tumor-derived neoantigens to activate endogenous cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, leading to epitope spreading and a broader anti-tumor response.
