Target intelligence / Profile preview
ERI3 intronic transcript 1 (ERI3-IT1) is a long noncoding RNA originating from an intronic region of the ERI3 gene. Unlike the protein-coding ERI3 gene (ERI1 exoribonuclease family member 3), ERI3-IT1 does not encode a protein. The transcript is referenced in genomic product databases but is not characterized functionally in the literature. There is no evidence it acts as a therapeutic target or biomarker, and its biological relevance remains unstudied. Other intronic lncRNAs have been implicated in gene regulation, particularly in cancer and other diseases, but ERI3-IT1 itself has not been studied in these contexts[1][3][6]. In summary, ERI3-IT1 represents an uncharacterized intronic noncoding RNA without recognized biomedical or therapeutic application. The available literature and data do not support it as a valid therapeutic target at present[1][2][3][6].
