01

Overview

ETS proto-oncogene 2, transcription factor (ETS2), is a member of the ETS family of transcription factors that activates transcription by binding specifically to target DNA motifs (GGAA/T, known as Ets-binding sites) in promoters[1][4][6]. It regulates genes involved in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, functions as a proto-oncogene in various diseases, and has also been linked to the regulation of telomerase. ETS2 is implicated in several diseases, including cancers and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Its biological activity is mediated through direct DNA binding, transcriptional activation, and involvement in cellular response pathways[1][2][6].
