Family with sequence similarity 207, member B, pseudogene (FAM207BP) is a pseudogene-derived long non-coding RNA, not encoding a protein product. It has no known function as a receptor, enzyme, or classical drug target. FAM207BP is significantly overexpressed in lung adenocarcinoma tissues compared to normal tissues, with its expression correlated with increased cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Lower expression is associated with greater immune cell (B cell) infiltration, suggesting it may influence tumor immunity. Its function is largely restricted to gene expression regulation and cancer cell biology, with current data supporting its use as a prognostic biomarker in specific cancers rather than as a direct therapeutic target[1][3][4].
