Family with sequence similarity 210 member C, pseudogene (FAM210CP) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome. Pseudogenes, while not encoding functional proteins, can be transcribed into RNA and sometimes exert regulatory effects on their parental genes through various mechanisms such as acting as competitive endogenous RNAs or microRNA decoys. There is currently no evidence that FAM210CP encodes a functional protein, nor is there documentation supporting its use as a therapeutic target or a biomarker. Most human pseudogenes, including FAM210CP, do not have established roles in disease or pharmacology and are primarily of interest for genetic and bioinformatics studies exploring genome evolution or potential regulatory RNA networks.
