Gall Bladder channel (Foot Shaoyang) (GB channel)

The term "Gall bladder channel heat clearance" refers to interventions within Traditional Chinese Medicine aimed at reducing pathological "heat" along the Gall Bladder meridian ("Foot Shaoyang"). The Gall Bladder Channel begins near the outer canthus of the eye and runs down the side of the head and body to terminate at the fourth toe. It connects internally with both gall bladder and liver organs according to TCM theory. Clearing heat from this channel is believed by practitioners to treat symptoms such as headaches (especially temporal), red/painful eyes, jaundice, gallstones, digestive issues like stagnation or bloating, musculoskeletal pain on the body's side/lateral limbs, sciatica-like symptoms, and certain emotional disturbances related to indecision or irritability. This concept does not correspond with any known molecular structure or pharmacological receptor/enzyme/transporter recognized by modern biomedicine.
