Glucosaminyl (N-acetyl) transferase 1, core 2 pseudogene 3 (GCNT1P3) is a human pseudogene annotated as related to the GCNT1 family of glycosyltransferases, but it does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes are generally noncoding DNA segments, sometimes transcribed but not translated, and lack established biological function or therapeutic relevance. There is no evidence for GCNT1P3 playing a role in normal physiology or disease, nor are there drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns associated with this locus. For biomedical targeting, GCNT1 (the protein-coding gene) is the relevant entity, not GCNT1P3[4]. In summary, GCNT1P3 is not a valid therapeutic target but is instead a noncoding pseudogene. If structured biomedical data are required, questions should be refocused on GCNT1 (the enzyme), which has established biological roles.
