Target
PRP-T
Molecular classification
Vaccine, Conjugate vaccine, Polysaccharide-protein conjugate
01

Overview

Haemophilus influenzae type b polysaccharide-protein conjugate (PRP-T) vaccine is a conjugate vaccine used to prevent invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). It consists of the Hib capsular polysaccharide (PRP) covalently linked to tetanus toxoid protein. This conjugation enhances immunogenicity, enabling T-cell dependent immune responses in infants. The vaccine stimulates the production of antibodies against PRP, providing protection against Hib infections.
