High mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2) is a non-histone chromosomal protein that plays a critical role in maintaining chromatin structure and regulating gene expression (UniProt P27003). Targeting HMGB2 mRNA via RNA interference (RNAi) or antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) leads to the degradation of the transcript or inhibition of translation, thereby reducing the levels of the HMGB2 protein and its downstream effects on gene expression and chromatin structure.
