Overview

The HLA-A*24:02-URLC10 peptide complex is a specific molecular target consisting of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) allele A*24:02 presenting a peptide derived from the Up-regulated in Lung Cancer 10 (URLC10) protein [1]. URLC10 is a cancer-testis-like antigen that is highly expressed in various malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and pancreatic cancer, while having minimal expression in normal tissues except the testis [1, 2]. The presentation of the URLC10-177 peptide (sequence: RYCNLEGPPI) by HLA-A*24:02 on the surface of tumor cells allows for recognition by specific CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) [1].
