Target intelligence / Profile preview
The human CD34−CD7+ T cell progenitor is a hematopoietic cell population characterized by the absence of the stem/progenitor marker CD34 and the presence of the early lymphoid/T-lineage marker CD7. This phenotype distinguishes it from earlier progenitors and marks a more differentiated stage within T-cell development. These cells represent an intermediate stage in human T-cell lineage commitment and can reconstitute thymic function in vivo, indicating their functional capacity as true T-lineage progenitors.
