Mechanism of action

The complex acts as a ligand for specific T-cell receptors (TCRs) on cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). Therapeutic strategies involve using the TTK-567 peptide as a vaccine to induce the expansion of CTLs that specifically recognize and kill tumor cells presenting this epitope in the HLA-A*24:02 groove. Alternatively, engineered TCR-T cells can be designed to bind directly to this peptide-MHC complex to initiate tumor lysis.
