Matrix-M is a vaccine adjuvant technology that enhances both innate and adaptive immune responses when co-administered with vaccine antigens. It consists of nanoparticles made from saponins, cholesterol, and phospholipids, and acts by recruiting and activating various immune cells, inducing cytokine production, and promoting robust B-cell and T-cell responses. It is used in several licensed vaccines developed by Novavax.
