Target intelligence / Profile preview
Immunoglobulin heavy variable IGHV8-51-1 is a pseudogene within the immunoglobulin heavy variable family located on chromosome 14q32.33, classified as non-functional due to an unusual recombination signal (RS) and/or conserved amino acid changes. It cannot participate in the synthesis of productive immunoglobulin chains and does not undergo V-(D)-J rearrangement or somatic hypermutation. As an immunoglobulin pseudogene, it does not encode a functional antibody variable region and is not involved in the immune response or any other biological process. No known disease role, drug interactions, or biomarker utility is associated with this locus[1][5][7][8][11].
