Target intelligence / Profile preview
Immunoglobulin lambda variable (I)-56 (IGLVI-56) is a human pseudogene belonging to the immunoglobulin lambda variable gene family. Unlike functional immunoglobulin variable region genes that encode the V region of lambda light chains, which are critical components of antibody antigen-binding activity, IGLVI-56 does not encode a functional protein due to mutations or lack of expression and is therefore classified as a pseudogene. As such, it lacks direct biological activity, plays no reported biological role, and is not a relevant drug target.
