The hemagglutinin (HA) antigen of the Influenza B virus (Yamagata lineage) is a surface glycoprotein responsible for viral entry. It binds to sialic acid receptors on host cells and mediates membrane fusion. HA is a major target for neutralizing antibodies and is a key component of influenza vaccines.
