While some pseudogenes can regulate expression of related coding genes through RNA-based mechanisms or serve as templates for regulatory RNAs such as siRNAs or miRNAs, there is currently no data indicating that LRRC37A7P has such a function[7]. No clinical, pharmacological, or diagnostic roles have been described for this pseudogene.
