AG-7 antigen is a Lewis A-like glycol-epitope highly expressed in 24–61% of gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, and biliary cancers[5]. It is the target of experimental therapies such as AbGn-107, an antibody-drug conjugate, and is under investigation as both a diagnostic marker and a therapeutic target in gastrointestinal malignancies. Due to ambiguity in its nomenclature, AG-7 antigen can be incorrectly conflated with "I-Ag7", a mouse MHC class II molecule associated with autoimmune diabetes, but in the referenced therapeutic/biomarker research, AG-7 refers specifically to the cancer-associated glycol-epitope[5].
