LSM3P4, fully named "LSM3 homolog, U6 small nuclear RNA and mRNA degradation associated pseudogene 4," is a pseudogene annotated in the human genome. Pseudogenes are non-functional copies or fragments of protein-coding genes that no longer produce functional proteins and are generally not considered therapeutic targets, receptors, enzymes, or functional regulatory elements. While some pseudogenes can be transcribed and may participate in cellular regulation at the RNA level, there is no evidence that LSM3P4 encodes a functional protein or is directly druggable or clinically actionable. It is classified as a processed pseudogene, related by sequence to the LSM3 gene, which plays a role in RNA metabolism, but LSM3P4 itself does not have established biological activities, clinical disease associations, or relevance as a diagnostic, prognostic, or therapeutic biomarker[4][7].
