Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex, locus G6E (pseudogene) is a non-coding genetic locus in humans, part of the LY6 gene cluster within the major histocompatibility complex class III region on chromosome 6[1][2]. It does not encode a confirmed protein product, and its biological function is not established. In contrast, functional LY6 family members are cell-surface proteins, often GPI-anchored, involved in immune regulation and potentially cancer progression[3][4]. The "G6E (pseudogene)" locus should not be confused with functional LY6 proteins, and it is not considered a therapeutic target or biomarker[1][2][3][4].
