Once activated, CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) recognize the MHC-I-peptide complex on AML blasts via their T-cell receptors (TCRs), triggering targeted cell death through the release of perforin and granzymes [4]. This interaction is highly specific, depending on both the particular HLA allele and the unique peptide sequence, making it a cornerstone of personalized immunotherapy and TCR-based drug development [3, 4]. The use of autologous dendritic cells ensures that the immune system is primed against the exact MHC-peptide combinations present in the patient's own tumor environment [2, 5].
