The measles virus antigen (live attenuated) is a weakened form of the measles virus used in vaccines to induce immunity without causing disease. It replicates within the host to stimulate a robust and long-lasting immune response, including the production of neutralizing antibodies and memory T cells. The attenuated virus targets antigen-presenting cells, leading to effective adaptive immunity against wild-type measles virus infection.
