MIRLET7B host gene (MIRLET7BHG) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene affiliated with the non-protein coding RNA class. It is primarily involved in miRNA-mediated post-transcriptional gene silencing by serving as a host transcript for the miRNA let-7b. This functional role occurs via the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC), contributing to gene regulation at the RNA level. MIRLET7BHG and its associated pathways have been implicated in several cancers, including leukemia, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. However, MIRLET7BHG is not considered a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and there are currently no drugs known to directly interact with or modulate its function[3][7].
