Target intelligence / Profile preview
The mumps virus antigen (live attenuated) is a weakened form of the mumps virus used as a vaccine to induce immunity against mumps. The live attenuated vaccine is designed to stimulate an immune response without causing the full-blown disease. It replicates at low levels, allowing the immune system to recognize viral proteins and mount both humoral and cellular immune responses. The most common strain is Jeryl Lynn.
Stimulates active immunization by inducing humoral and cellular immune responses through limited viral replication.
