Target intelligence / Profile preview
NAPGP1 is a pseudogene annotated in the human genome and is related to the gamma subunit of the N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein (gamma-SNAP), but it does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes are segments of DNA resembling genes but are non-functional, typically due to mutations or truncations that prevent their expression as functional proteins. NAPGP1 therefore does not participate in canonical biological processes, does not serve as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other classical drug target, and has no direct therapeutic or diagnostic value.
