The neurotrophin receptor associated death domain, pseudogene (NRADDP) is a non-functional, unprocessed or processed pseudogene related to the NRADD gene, which encodes a protein involved in apoptosis and Wnt/β-catenin signaling. Pseudogenes are DNA sequences similar to known genes but generally lack the ability to produce functional proteins, either due to accumulated mutations, truncations, or regulatory changes. While some pseudogenes can be transcribed and may participate in gene regulation through RNA-based mechanisms (such as long noncoding RNAs affecting the parental gene), there is currently no evidence that NRADDP has a functional or druggable role in cellular biology, nor is it considered a therapeutic target or biomarker[4]. Any biological relevance would relate to the parental functional gene, neurotrophin receptor-associated death domain (NRADD), not to the pseudogene itself.
