Target intelligence / Profile preview
Combining multiple distinct molecules (transcription factors and cytokines) into a single "target" does not reflect standard biological or pharmacological conventions. They function within the same or related signaling pathways (notably, NF-κB–IL-6–STAT3–TNF-α axis in inflammation and cancer), but each is independently druggable and characterized. Individual canonical targets should be created for each. The pathway or signaling cascade encompassing all four would be referred to as the "NF-κB–IL-6–STAT3 axis" or "pro-inflammatory signaling pathways", but this is a biological pathway, not a single molecular target.
