Mechanism of action

Competitive inhibition of the NS3/4A serine protease active site, which prevents the proteolytic cleavage of the viral polyprotein into mature non-structural proteins (NS4A, NS4B, NS5A, and NS5B) required for the formation of the viral replication complex.
