Target intelligence / Profile preview
Novel transcript, antisense to COL4A1 (ENSG00000295764), is a long non-coding RNA gene identified in the human genome. The transcript is transcribed from the strand opposite to COL4A1, a gene encoding collagen type IV alpha-1 chain. There is currently no published evidence of protein-coding capacity, recognized molecular function, direct involvement in disease, or utility as a therapeutic target. Its main feature is being a lncRNA that may regulate or interact with the COL4A1 locus or neighboring genes, but further research is necessary to define any regulatory or biological role[1][3].
