Novel transcript, antisense to ZNF358 (ENSG00000269371) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the opposite DNA strand of the ZNF358 gene locus. Antisense transcripts can regulate the expression of ZNF358 via several mechanisms, such as transcriptional interference, RNA masking, double-stranded RNA-dependent silencing, or chromatin modifications. These RNAs typically function by influencing gene expression at the level of transcription, RNA processing, stability, or translation, and can provide cell- and stimulus-specific regulatory control[1][2][3][4].
