Target intelligence / Profile preview
This is a novel, sense-oriented transcript mapped within an intronic region of the EIF3E gene. Such transcripts are typically considered long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) or other types of noncoding RNAs identified via high-throughput sequencing but lack experimental evidence for biological function, disease association, or classification as therapeutic targets. There are no published data on its protein product, if any, nor its relevance for drug development, clinical targeting, or biomarker use. By contrast, EIF3E encodes a well-studied protein component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 complex (eIF3), which is involved in regulation of mRNA translation, cell proliferation, stress response, and mitochondrial function[5][3][1]. This intronic transcript should not be confused with EIF3E or other validated molecular targets.
No mechanisms of action described, as it is not a druggable target.
