Overview

Proteasome 26S subunit, ATPase 1 pseudogene 10 (PSMC1P10) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene in humans, related by sequence to the functional gene PSMC1, which encodes one of the AAA-ATPase subunits in the 19S regulatory particle of the 26S proteasome complex. This pseudogene does not produce a functional protein and has no known biological activity, therapeutic utility, or disease association itself. The functional PSMC1 gene is vital for regulated protein degradation, but PSMC1P10 is not considered a therapeutic target and is not involved in human disease or drug response.
