Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src (c-Src) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that serves as a critical mediator in various signaling pathways governing cell growth, differentiation, adhesion, and migration [1, 6]. As the prototypical member of the Src family kinases (SFKs), it is activated by a wide array of cell surface receptors, including receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), and integrins [1, 7]. Under normal physiological conditions, c-Src activity is tightly regulated through phosphorylation at specific tyrosine residues; however, its dysregulation or overexpression is a hallmark of numerous malignancies, such as colon, breast, and lung cancers [6, 11].
