Overview

Pseudomonas exotoxin A (PE38) is a truncated, recombinant form of exotoxin A from *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. It inhibits protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells by ADP-ribosylating elongation factor 2 (EF-2), leading to cell death. PE38 is primarily used as a cytotoxic payload in targeted cancer therapies such as immunotoxins.
