Target intelligence / Profile preview

RAB, member RAS oncogene family-like 6 (RABL6)

Target
RABL6
Molecular classification
Small GTPase, Ras superfamily, Rab-like protein
01

Overview

RAB, member RAS oncogene family-like 6 (RABL6) is a member of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases. The protein binds both GTP and GDP and is implicated in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Overexpression of RABL6 has been observed in breast cancer, suggesting a possible oncogenic role. Multiple transcript variants and isoforms of this gene exist. While its precise cellular functions remain an active area of research, the protein may modulate cell cycle progression and interact with numerous proteins associated with membrane trafficking and cellular signaling.
