Target intelligence / Profile preview
The RBAK downstream neighbor (RBAKDN) is a naturally occurring read-through transcript that overlaps the RBAK gene and the downstream locus LOC389458 on chromosome 7. RefSeq and other major genomic databases annotate this locus as non-protein coding, and its potential transcript may share some homology with the upstream RBAK gene but is rendered distinct by frameshifts. There is currently no evidence for a protein product, known biological function, or established disease association for RBAKDN. It is not considered a therapeutic target given current knowledge[2][5][6][7][8][9].
