REXO1 like 10, pseudogene (REXO1L10P)

REXO1 like 10, pseudogene (REXO1L10P) is a human pseudogene. By definition, a pseudogene is a genomic DNA sequence similar to a known gene but typically nonfunctional due to disabling mutations such as frameshifts or premature stop codons. REXO1L10P shows sequence homology to the functional RNA exonuclease 1 homolog (REXO1), but does not encode a functional protein product. There is no evidence supporting a functional biological role, protein translation, or involvement in any disease or drug response. Like other pseudogenes, while possible regulatory RNA-level functions (such as acting as a microRNA sponge) are described for some pseudogenes in the literature, there is no specific evidence for such a role for REXO1L10P. REXO1L10P is not considered a druggable or therapeutic target.
