RHOG family member 2, pseudogene (RHOG2P), is a genomic DNA locus annotated as a pseudogene—meaning it resembles the functional RHOG gene but does not produce a functional protein or have known biological activity[3]. Pseudogenes are often remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events and typically lack coding potential due to accumulated mutations. RHOG2P is not considered a therapeutic target (such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, etc.) and has no experimentally validated function, disease association, or drug interaction. This differentiates it from its functional counterpart RHOG, which is involved in actin cytoskeleton reorganization and immune cell migration[1][2].
