Ribosyldihydronicotinamide dehydrogenase (NQO2) is a cytosolic flavoprotein enzyme that catalyzes the two-electron reduction of quinones to hydroquinones using reduced dihydronicotinamide riboside (NRH) as an electron donor. Unlike its paralog NQO1, it cannot efficiently use NADH or NADPH as reducing cofactors. It plays a role in detoxification pathways and may participate in redox signaling. Its exact physiological function remains under investigation.
