RNA, 5S ribosomal pseudogene 418 (RNA5SP418) is a non-coding region of the genome annotated as a processed pseudogene of the 5S ribosomal RNA gene family[2][5]. Pseudogenes are gene-like sequences that arise from gene duplication or retrotransposition events, acquiring mutations that abrogate their canonical function, and are generally not transcribed to functional RNA or protein products[4].
