RNA, 5S ribosomal pseudogene 80 (abbreviated as RNA5SP80 or RN5S80) is classified as a pseudogene—a non-functional copy of the 5S ribosomal RNA gene. This means that, unlike active 5S rRNA genes, it does not contribute functional RNA to ribosome structure or activity. The molecule is not considered a therapeutic target, and there is no evidence for relevance in drug interactions, disease involvement, or established biomarker or safety information.
