Overview

RN7SL111P is a human pseudogene related to the functional 7SL RNA gene, a component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex. The majority of 7SL-related loci in the human genome are pseudogenes, generated by retrotransposition of the functional 7SL RNA[4][1]. RN7SL111P is a truncated, non-expressed derivative and does not encode a functional RNA or protein product, thus has no known biological function or therapeutic relevance[4][1]. The functional 7SL RNA participates in co-translational protein targeting via the SRP complex[3][5][6], but pseudogenes like RN7SL111P do not contribute to these processes. RN7SL111P is a genetic locus defined as a pseudogene, not a protein, receptor, enzyme, or RNA with physiological function. It should not be considered a valid therapeutic target. If you require information on the functional SRP RNA or related molecules (such as RN7SL1), those could have biological function and disease relevance[3][5][6], but not this pseudogene.
