RN7SL193P (RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 193, pseudogene) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene derived from the 7SL RNA gene family, located in the human genome but lacking known protein-coding or direct regulatory function[1][8][7]. 7SL RNA pseudogenes are generated by reverse transcription of 7SL RNA into DNA and reintegration into the genome, most often as truncated and non-functional copies[7]. While the parent 7SL RNA plays a central role in the signal recognition particle complex essential for co-translational protein targeting to the endoplasmic reticulum[3][5], RN7SL193P itself is predicted to be transcriptionally silent or without known biological activity[1][8][7]. Recent studies suggest transcribed pseudogenes may influence gene regulation through ceRNA effects or small RNA biogenesis, but there is no evidence RN7SL193P has such activity[4][6]. It is not considered a druggable target or relevant for clinical biomarker applications. If structured, RN7SL193P should be classified as a non-coding RNA pseudogene, not a receptor, enzyme, or therapeutic target.
