RN7SL200P is a pseudogene derived from the RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic gene family. 7SL RNA itself is an essential non-coding RNA that forms a key part of the signal recognition particle (SRP) ribonucleoprotein complex, where it facilitates protein sorting and targeting within eukaryotic cells. However, the RN7SL200P pseudogene is a truncated, non-functional copy generated by reverse transcription and genomic insertion of 7SL RNA.
